What a great way to spend Saturday, March 15th, National Quilt Day! Barb from Babs 'n Jas Designs donated her time and a very lovely pattern so that each of us could make a table topper to be used as donations to CQA's Quilt Canada 2008 in Newfoundland Barb started the morning off with a demonstration of 3 techniques of applique for the circles, each person choosing the method that suit them best. An especially helpful lesson for those who were beginners. Each person was able to complete the top at this workshop, some even completing 2 tops Each person was asked to bring their finished table topper to April's meeting for a photo shoot! Cynthia presented Barb with a token of the guild's thanks for donating her time and pattern! The Guild would also like to thank all the members who donated the following items: 5 more table toppers 1 table runner 8 buttoned bags 3 quilted pincushions 1 finger pincushion 1 measuring tape 13 bookmarks 2 seam rippers 16 hot drink holders 2 Christmas pincushions 2 placemats Great job ladies!
